Where most people don’t go, is where you will find me. And the book 101 Days in Central America covers one of those trips. It is the place where my decades of experience with storytelling, my love for travel and passion for photography come together.
As much as Into The Arms of America is not your typical travel blog, 101 Days is not a run-of-the-mill travel book that takes you from A to Z (in this case from Mexico to Costa Rica through Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua). Instead it is a collection of individual travel stories and hundreds of memories caught by camera, together forming a blanket patchwork of impressions that together are more than the sum of its individual parts. Written and photographed by me, Bas Timmers, a backpack-traveling former journalist and blogger.
