Nickname: El Globo (the balloon)
Club fun facts: the club was named after famed engineer Jorge Newbery. He flew an air balloon called Huracán from Buenos Aires to the Brazilian city of Bagé. The club adopted the air balloon as its badge, and the nickname quickly followed.
Alfredo di Stefano also played for the club, if only for a season. Together with Messi and Maradona he is probably the most famous Argentinian player, mainly known for his spell at Real Madrid of course. Legendary coach Cesar Luis Menotti, who won the World Cup with Argentina in 1978, was the head coach in the early seventies.

Stadium: Tomas Adolfo Ducó (Palacio Ducó)
Capacity: 48.314
Stadium specifics: bigger than it looks, and much more beautiful than you would suspect from the outside. Located in between old warehouses, this is probably my favorite stadium of the ones I visited. It is extremely basic, somehow intimate, and has this magnificent tower on one end. Behind it are even some new apartment buildings with free views of the pitch. The two main stands (Platea Alcorta on the north where you approach the stadium, and the Platea Miravé on the other side) have seats only, some of them made out of concrete! Behind both goals are steep terraces. The barra bravas have their home on the western side of the stadium (Popular Local). The east stand is called Popular Visitante, although of course no away fans are allowed anymore.
How to get there: get the subway to Caseros station (line H). From here it is a straight ten minute walk along the Avenida Colonia. The Palacio Ducó is located in the beautiful Parque Patricios neighborhood, well worth a pre-match visit. If you get stuck after a late night game (subway runs until midnight) there are bus connections as well.
Tickets: best to get a membership in person at the club shop at Avenida Caseros 3159. But even for the Boca Juniors home game I was able to buy an invitado ticket online for the terraces on the eastern end, two days before the game. So keep an eye out on the Noticias-section of their site.
